2008-2009 SSM Parent Volunteer Discernment Sheet

 

Suzuki Strings of Madison will be having many fantastic events this year in addition to our regular classes.  We need your help in order to make the year a success. 

Please fill out this form and return it with your registration materials.

                     I wish to apply for a group tuition scholarship. 

                     Tuition scholarship requires commitment to an ongoing volunteer position for SSM.

 

Check as many ways as you are willing to participate:

 

Weekly Set up volunteers:

 

                    Set up and maintain SSM Library on Tuesdays.

                    Set up chairs for Ensemble on Tuesdays.

                    Straighten chairs after group classes on Tuesdays.

                    Pick up bagels from Einsteins on Mineral Point Rd every Monday eve or Tuesday am.

                    Donate baked goods etc for sale during group classes to benefit SSM general funds.

                    Coordinate Tuesday snack table.

                    Partner with a new Suzuki family to help them feel welcome and learn the ropes. 

                    Our family is new to Suzuki and would like a veteran family partner.

 

Monthly Volunteers:

 

                    Print copies of newsletter and distribute at play –ins.

                    Coordinate monthly Just Coffee order.

                    Pick up coffee order from Just Coffee. 

                    Distribute Just Coffee orders at Play-ins.

                    Collect, store, and distribute gently used black and white concert clothes for swap

                     by families in the program.  Bring bins to Play-ins and rehearsals.

 

One-time/Special-event Volunteers:

 

                    Maintain 2008-2009 SSM directory.

                    Coordinate 100-Day Club practice and organize party (fall-winter and/or winter-spring).

                    Help design new SSM T-shirt.

                    Help organize sale of new SSM T-shirt.

                    Set up September 30 pot-luck.

                    Clean up September 30 pot-luck.

                    Help at March 21-22 SSM Workshop at Middleton High school.

                    Help coordinate SSM field trips to Madison Symphony Orchestra Nov 4 and Jan 18 .

                    Coordinate SSM field trip to Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra Mar 28.

                    Help with SSM cook book fundraiser.

                    Wrap books at Barnes and Noble to benefit scholarship fund (Dec 7?).

                    Place public service announcements for TV, radio, papers to advertise SSM concerts

                    Set up Solo Recital receptions.  Indicate date/s you are willing to help:
